【摘要】:ThispartofISO9917specifiesrequirementsfordentalcements,includinghand-mixed,encapsulatedcementsusedformechanicalmixingandone-componentmaterials,whichareintendedforbase,liningandrestorationpurposesandforwhichthematerialsarewater-basedandsetbymultiplereactionswhichincludeanacid-basereactionandpolymerization.EXAMPLEConventionalglasspolyalkenoatecementsarenormallyformedbyreactinganion-leachablealuminosilicateglasswithapolyalkenoicacidinanaqueousenvironment.MaterialswhichfallwithinthescopeofthispartofISO9917willnormallybeabletoeffectsettingbysuchanaqueousacid-basetypereaction,butinadditionwillbeabletoeffectrapidsettingthroughexposuretoasuitablesourceofradiation.NOTE—AttentionofmanufacturersandtesthousesisdrawntothecloselyrelatedInternationalStandardsISO4049andISO9917:1991.ConsiderationshouldbegivenastothemostappropriateInternationalStandardbywhichtoevaluateanyindividualproduct.
