【摘要】:Containersmaybepressurizedinaccordancewiththistestmethodwithoutmodificationtotheclosureortothebodyofthecontainer.ThistestmethodmaybeusedfortestingrigidcontainersintendedforthetransportationofsomeliquidsbyairinaccordancewiththeICAOTIsorinaccordancewiththeUNTDG.Thistestmethodestablishesthepointatwhichleakagecommences,withalimitofapproximately95-kPa(13.8-psi)differential.SeeTestMethodD3078forflexiblepackages.Thistestmethodmaynotbesuitableforsomepackages,suchaspackageswithpapercapseals,wherethetestfluidmayrapidlydeterioratethepackaging.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthetestingofemptycontainersforresistancetoleakageunderdifferentialpressureconditionssuchasthosewhichcanoccurduringairtransport.ItissuitablefortestingrigidcontainersintendedforthetransportationofsomehazardousliquidsinaccordancewiththeUnitedNationsRecommendationsOnTheTransportOfDangerousGoods(UNTDG)andtheInternationalCivilAviationOrganizationTechnicalInstructionsForTheSafeTransportOfDangerousGoodsByAir(ICAOTIs).1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
